"My first contact with SWA was a school internship in grade 8. Numbers interested me early on and a year earlier I had already chosen accounting as a subject at our secondary school. I thought I was well prepared for my internship. But then I quickly realised that I was still too young. This experience awakened my ambition. Having a plan and sticking to it is my basic attitude. Maybe it has something to do with my hobby. I'm a sportswoman, I play football actively in a club. In September 2022, I started my training here with Mr Arndt.
What I particularly like about SWA is the combination of super nice people, variety and the demand for performance. From conversations with other tax trainees, I know that I get very diverse and varied tasks. Income tax, notices, advance payments, bookkeeping and much more. Especially in very large firms, things are much more impersonal and one-sided in comparison. In our daily work, confidentiality and reliability are very important - after all, we get to see sensitive data and deadlines have to be met.
The office in Munich is centrally located, right next to the Theresienwiese. With lots of shops, pubs, bistros etc., it's ideal for a lunch break. We also have our own gym with a shower. But I haven't used it yet - I already do enough sport in my free time.
For anyone who is also interested in training as a tax assistant, I recommend doing a work placement beforehand.
You also need an understanding of numbers and should be able to think and work in a structured way. If you have these prerequisites, the prospects of successfully completing the programme, including the prospect of being taken on, are very good."
